Hennessey will offer a 2019 Ford Ranger upgrade package

The 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharger from the 2019 Ford Ranger is perfectly competitive with its 270 hp and 310 pound-foot torque. But let's be honest, more is almost always more fun, and Hennessey Performance is planning to deliver more to Ranger owners. According to one of the company's representatives, the upgrade kit will boost the Ranger to 350 hp and 385 pound-feet of torque – that's just as much power as a Focus RS but 35 pounds of more than half a kilo.

According to the Hennessey website, the power upgrades are fairly straightforward. They include a high-flow inlet, cat-back exhaust and a tuning of the engine computer. Frankly, it sounds like a great way to create the Ranger ST that I dreamed of. This is of course in place of Hennessey badges and stickers.

The performance package can also be combined with a series of off-road upgrades with customized off-road bumpers, LED parking lights, mud guards, 18-inch wheels, 33-inch tires and a suspension-type set. They are not really off-road equipment from Ranger Raptor, but with the power upgrades it will certainly be faster in a straight line than the overseas diesel pickup.

Availability and prices have not yet been announced, but the representative we spoke to said that information will soon be available. We will update this message as soon as it is available. It seems that the packages are also covered by the same 3-year / 36,000-mile warranty that Hennessey offers on many of its upgrades.
