Ford Ranger gets long list of Yakima accessories sold at dealerships

Posted on

The Ford Ranger will arrive in early 2019 and Ford will use this truck to look for the adventurous / outdoor type. Instead of buying outdoor adventure accessories in different stores, Ford teamed up with Yakima to offer its range of dealers.

This means that you are ready to take your Ranger on an overland adventure as soon as you disable the dealer party, if you wish. Ford offers Yakima kayak racks, bike racks, storage accessories for trucks and truck bed tents. The advantage for customers here is the possibility of having the costs of all accessories that they choose roll into the cost of the vehicle. And all accessories come with a Ford warranty of three years or 36,000 miles, with comprehensive warranties that you can purchase. Initially, Ford will only offer a few parts, but over time it will offer pages with accessories. Eventually some of these accessories will also be offered for the F-150 and the Explorer.

It felt like a slow crawl to the actual launch of this truck, but we are almost there. Production started about three weeks ago in Wayne, Mich. Power comes from a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that delivers 270 hp and 310 pound-foot torque. You can tow up to 7,500 pounds with the truck and take home a car for $ 25,395. Of course the price goes up quickly with options – and with the accessories that are now offered.
